An expert physiotherapist in pelvic rehabilitation and a sexual counselor. I graduated with honors and distinction in Physiotherapy in 2019, and from my early years of training, I delved into pelvic floor rehabilitation, transforming my thesis project on female sexual dysfunctions into a tangible reality. Since 2020, I have been sharing content on pelvic and sexual health through the Dottoressa Scandalo profile. After specializing in Barcelona, in 2021 I became an INDIBA® Trainer and Specialist and completed my Master's in Osteopathy at the Escuela de Osteopatía de Madrid (EOM) based in Rome. As a lecturer and tutor in advanced training courses, I collaborate with the University of Tor Vergata as a tutor for the training of new professionals. Today, as an AISPA sexual counselor, I integrate clinical and relational skills to support the pelvic health and intimate well-being of my patients.
The initial consultation is essential for understanding your needs and setting up a personalized rehabilitation plan. We will begin with a thorough medical history, gathering information about your clinical background and symptoms. This will be followed by a physical examination to assess pelvic floor function, both in static and dynamic conditions, and an abdominal evaluation to identify any signs of diastasis. With your consent, an internal palpation of the pelvic floor muscles will also be performed, which is crucial for assessing tension, contractures, or weaknesses. If this option is not possible, equally effective external assessment alternatives are available. Finally, we will collaboratively establish the most suitable rehabilitation program for you, fully respecting your needs, timeline, and sensitivities.
