Geen.ai S.r.l., with registered office in Via Bonaventura Zumbini 39, 20143 – Milan (MI), VAT number 13406850969, PEC geen.aisrl@pec.it, e-mail info@geenapp.it, as data controller (hereinafter the “Data Controller”), informs You, pursuant to Art. 13 of EU Regulation 679/2016 (hereinafter the “GDPR”), that the data You provide are processed with the modalities and for the purposes described below.

Data subject to processing

The Personal Data subject to processing belong to the following categories:

• navigation data acquired when visiting or using the website (IP addresses or domain names, addresses in URI notation of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used, the size of the file obtained in response, the response status code and other parameters related to the user's operating system and computer environment);
• common and contact data provided by the Data Subject by filling out and submitting the specific Forms available on the site to request information on the services offered by the Data Controller, to book a product demo or to subscribe to the newsletter (by way of example: name and surname, e-mail address);
• should there be a need to process further data not falling within the above categories, the Data Subject will be promptly notified by the Data Controller.

Purposes and legal basis of the processing

Your personal data are processed for the following purposes:

• in relation to navigation data, to improve the browsing experience on the website. Legal basis: legitimate interest of the Data Controller, pursuant to Art. 6.1 letter f) GDPR;
• in relation to data provided through the Forms to request information on the services and to request a product demo, to fulfil the Data Subject's requests. Legal basis: execution of pre-contractual measures adopted at the request of the Data Subject, pursuant to Art. 6.1 letter b) GDPR;
• in relation to data provided to subscribe to the newsletter, to fulfil the request and for marketing purposes (sending commercial communications by e-mail). Legal basis: consent of the Data Subject, pursuant to Art. 6.1 letter a) GDPR, given by ticking the appropriate check box before submitting the request.

Processing methods and retention

The processing will be carried out through computer systems (cloud, internet, computers and mobile devices) and, residually, in paper format, with methods suitable to guarantee confidentiality and security. The data will be kept only for the time strictly necessary to fulfil the request and, in any case:

• navigation data: for a maximum period of 7 days from collection;
• other data: for a maximum period of 24 months from collection, except where current legislation requires retention for longer periods.

Nature of the provision of data

The provision of Your data is optional. However, failure to fill out the fields marked as necessary may prejudice the total or partial fulfilment of the request. Consent to processing for marketing purposes is purely optional and does not in any way prejudice the fulfilment of the Data Subject's requests.

Access and communication of data

Your data will be processed by personnel and collaborators of the Data Controller specifically authorized and on the basis of the instructions received, as well as by third parties (e.g. suppliers, professionals, affiliates, commercial partners) where they carry out outsourcing activities on behalf of the Data Controller, in their capacity as external data processors or data controllers.

The Data Controller may communicate Your data to public entities to comply with legal obligations, and to third parties carrying out instrumental or accessory activities to the requested services. The updated list of such subjects can be requested from the Data Controller at the addresses indicated above. The chosen suppliers generally operate through data centers located within the European Union. Any transfers outside the European Economic Area will take place in full compliance with EU Regulation 2016/679, towards third countries for which the European Commission has recognized an adequate level of protection or in the presence of adequate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses approved by Decision 2021/914/EU). The data may be communicated, in particular, to: collaborators and employees; external data processors appointed by the Data Controller; accountant, legal and labor consultants; commercial partners; suppliers; banking institutions; public institutions; persons in charge of administrative activity.

Rights of the data subject

At any time You may exercise Your rights towards the Data Controller pursuant to Art. 15-22 of EU Regulation 2016/679: in particular the rights of access, rectification and integration, erasure (right to be forgotten), restriction of processing, data portability, objection to processing for legitimate reasons and objection to automated decision-making (including profiling), as well as the right to lodge a complaint with the Supervisory Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).

The aforementioned rights may be exercised by sending an e-mail to the Data Controller at info@geenapp.it. In order to guarantee the protection of personal information, the Data Controller may request further specific information to confirm the identity of the requester. The request is free of charge; however, if manifestly unfounded or excessive, the Data Controller may charge a reasonable fee or refuse to act on it.
