My name is Rebecca. I am a psychologist registered in Lombardy and certified as a sexology consultant, having completed postgraduate training in Clinical Sexology at Bicocca University in Milan. Currently, I work as a clinical psychologist and sex therapist in Milan, specializing in adults, couples, and adolescents. My work revolves around people's well-being, with a particular focus on the challenges and needs of the LGBTQIA+ community. I guide individuals seeking a safe space to explore their questions, difficulties, or desires related to sexuality, gender identity, and relationships, with special attention and sensitivity towards trans people. During my university and postgraduate training, I specifically delved into sexuality within couples and female sexual desire, which was also the subject of my master's research thesis. In parallel, I had the opportunity to create and run free listening support services for women, offering support and a safe, non-judgmental space. In these settings, I also handled delicate situations, such as those related to violence. I deeply believe in the importance of therapeutic support that embraces complexity, truly addressing the needs of those who often feel unheard in more traditional settings. I have worked as a sexual and emotional educator in schools and with groups of young people from diverse cultures, backgrounds, ages, and genders, both in Milan and in foreign countries like Tanzania and Bolivia. Through these experiences, I focused on dissemination and research, and developed my own personal approach that combined scientific knowledge with an emotional and relational orientation, incorporating body work, role-playing, and the use of images, videos, and social networks. I also completed specific training courses to work in humanitarian contexts and with cultures different from my own, becoming a sexual educator in English, with preparation tailored to address the needs of diverse environments. This specialization allowed me to gain unique experiences, such as supporting people with HIV in Tanzania or working with young people with disabilities. Outside of my profession, I dedicate a lot of time to my other passions: I am certified as a 118 first aid operator with AREU and have been serving on an ambulance for seven years with an association in Milan; I am also dedicated to singing and music, Latin American dance, skiing, diving, travel, and books!
