Dr. Angelo Tocci is a specialist in Gynecology and Obstetrics, Andrologist and Sexologist and heads the Donnamed Group in Rome. He collaborates with various Assisted Fertilization Centers in Italy and abroad.
After obtaining, in 1988, a degree in Medicine and Surgery at the Catholic University of Rome, he obtained the Specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the same institution in 1992. He is a PhD in Obstetrical and Gynecological Sciences at the University “La Sapienza”. He obtained a second level master's degree in Andrology, Sexuality and Reproductive Medicine at the University of Florence.
It mainly deals with Assisted Fertilization, Artificial Insemination, IVF, Heterologous Fertilization, Embryo Implant Failure, Reduced Ovarian Reserve, Andrology and Sexology, Repeated Abortion, Infertility in couples, diseases due to Papillomavirus male and female.
He is particularly attentive to the bioethical issues associated with the application of assisted fertilization techniques and their usefulness.
He has carried out scientific research in the field of embryonic stem cells in the following institutions: Institute for Scientific Hospitalization and Care (IRCCS) Bambino Gesù in Rome, Imperial College School of Medicine in London (UK), Higher Institute of Health in Rome, Claude Bernard University of Lyon (France), Giuseppe Toniolo Institute for Higher Studies in Milan, National Research Council (CNR) in Rome.
He has held study seminars at the following institutions: Bambino Gesù Institute for Scientific Hospitalization and Care (IRCCS) in Rome, University of Pavia, Gaslini Institute of Genoa, Imperial College of Medicine in London (UK), Georgetown University Medical Center, Center for Clinical Bioethics in Washington DC (USA).
Dr. Tocci is the author of numerous national and international scientific publications in the field of Preimplantation Genetic Screening, of the Reduced Ovarian Reserve, Adenomyosis, Endometriosis, Embryonic Stem Cell Study.
