Midwife, expert in yoga and traditional Chinese medicine.
I graduated from the University of Florence where I still work at the association My Midwife.
I am committed to offering women at every stage of their lives and families personalized assistance to accompany them during menstruation, pregnancy, childbirth and birth, the postpartum period and breastfeeding, with visits to the clinic or home as needed.
I have a background in Traditional Chinese Medicine, I specialized in Tuina massage for pregnancy and pediatric Tuina massage for babies and children, with courses and seminars at the School of Acupuncture in Florence, where I am also a teacher of the Master of Integrated Obstetrics from
2019. In particular, with the Tuina massage and with other complementary techniques such as moxibustion, cupping or the use of the plum blossom hammer, I treat disorders that may occur to pregnant women, breech presentation of the child, I perform natural stimulations at childbirth and support breastfeeding and problems in the postpartum period (for example caesarean section scars).
In recent years I have specialized in the field of menstrual health with specific formations -PNEI of the menstrual cycle- and with TCM with which I make adjustments to the menstrual cycle, both to live it to the fullest and for a possible search for a pregnancy, supporting fertility.
The work on the intestinal microbiota deserves special attention every time I approach working with women, whether pregnant, postpartum or for the menstrual cycle and fertility.
In my obstetric practice, I also use Bach flowers, in cases where it is necessary to rebalance a woman's emotional aspect, at every stage of her life.
At the association La Mia Midwife I hold Yoga courses in pre-pregnancy and post-partum, always with a careful obstetric eye and courses for menstrual health, in addition to obstetric advice for every physiological step in a child's growth.
I am therefore in charge of:
I graduated from Florence in 2011 and continued my obstetric training, also dedicating myself to urogynecological rehabilitation, always integrating work and personal experience, education in awareness and body perception. I was trained in the Resseguier Method, which supports me globally in my obstetric practice. I was also trained in “Neonatal and pregnant aquaticity.” I trained in sexology at the Institute for Research and Training in Sexology in Florence (IRF), then becoming a consultant in sexology. In my obstetric practice, I assist pregnant women and accompany them during childbirth, both in the hospital and at home. I support mothers and their children in the puerperium, in breastfeeding, in caring for the newborn and in their parenting journey. I run a clinic on menstrual and sexual health, and on related problems. At the association La Mia Obstetrica, I take care of pre- and post-natal courses, in order to offer families who are training or expanding complete, quality and personalized support. I also organize group courses and individual meetings on perineal rehabilitation, menstrual and sexual health. The care I offer globally as a midwife is personalized, aimed at listening to and respecting the woman's privacy, encouraging informed choice and welcoming the individuality of the person and family I follow. I place women at the center in every phase of their lives and the right to health connected to them. I am a mother of 5 children and a passionate companion. My family supports and in their own way shares my work as a midwife, always offering me ideas to improve my practice.
During the first visit, we will dedicate ample space to the interview, in order to enter into the relationship as long as necessary, collect any useful physical and emotional information and allow the patient to feel at ease, safe and listened to in every need. Then there will be a time of listening to the body, which involves both a global external evaluation (postural, respiratory, core, perineal...) and then an internal obstetric evaluation of the genital area. The meeting will close with the return of experience and perception by the user, followed by that of the professional, in order to then plan together the continuation of the shared journey.
